Melyssa Aben is currently a senior at Western Michigan University where she is seeking a bachelor in Fine arts with an emphasis in photography and intermedia. Over the past three years of her career as a student Melyssa has been in varying exhibitions. Her work likes to focus on portraiture inspired by the novels that she reads. The work portrays snapshots from specific scenes of the novels themselves. Melyssa is a published artist with her works being used in a coffee table book, Saline Michigan ABC's, created in 2014. As a student at WMU Melyssa is also a member of PIC (Photography and Intermedia Collective) as well as Sigma Kappa Sorority. You can find more of her work HERE.
