Dylan Nickolet is a multimedia visual artist from Saskatchewan, Canada. He currently resides in Montreal, QC. Main themes in his current work make reference to time (past and present), identity in/through popular culture (past and present), and nature (again, past and present). Most (but not all) of his current works address time and identity through two personas; each representing a side of the spectrum. Past and future; old and new; countryside and metropolis; American-West and dystopian tech-noir; Western and Science Fiction; Clint Eastwood and Arnold Schwarzenegger; honky-tonk and cyberpunk. These two personas grant him access through an imaginative lens to explore the creation, development, and change of the social construct that binds the present modern world, and how they affect our future, and fate of our world as we understand it.
